Buffalo Historical Hike

Once again, Chuck Saia will lead a hiking tour for the Buffalo Powder Keg Winterfest! If you missed this last year, you have another chance to join the fun! Similar to last year, he will be leading a Historical Tour through some of Buffalo's most historical areas!

Dates: Saturday, February 11th, 2012
Time: 12:00pm
Location: We will meet at The Veterans Memorial Site
(Naval Park - intersection of Erie St and Marine Drive)

  • The Naval Park
  • The Site of The Erie Canal
  • The Commercial Slip
  • The DL&W Terminal
  • The Swannie House
  • The Edward Cotter Fire Boat
  • The NEW Buffalo Riverfest Park
  • The Cooperage
  • Site and Tour of the NEW Scholastic Rowing Club
  • Father Conway Park (Former Ohio Basin)
  • The Buffalo River Kayak Launch
  • The Former Site of Fingy Connors Saloon
  • The Former Site of The Harbour Inn
  • The Cobblestone District
The distance of the tour is 3 miles round trip with a Grain Elevator Tour included, and we keep an easy pace. As you know, this is Buffalo in winter so we suggest dressing according to the weather, boots are a must for sure!
